Best Time to Visit Tsavo East

The best time to visit Tsavo East National Park is during the dry seasons – January to March and June to October. During these months, animals gather around waterholes and rivers, making wildlife viewing much easier.

Dry Season (Jan–Mar, Jun–Oct): Best for game drives, photography, and spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. Roads are also easier to access.
Wet Season (Apr–May, Nov–Dec): The park turns lush and green, with fewer crowds and lower rates. However, heavy rains can make some roads difficult to navigate.
